My Story
I was born and raised in the Seattle area. After retiring in Peoria, Arizona and needing a cooler change my husband and I moved to Jerome, Idaho where we reside to this day. My gift was hairdressing, and I enjoyed that occupation for 20 years. As it often occurs in life, a change in circumstances led me to a new career in commercial interior design. My eye for color, space, and texture emerged from my life experiences. You will definitely see that influence in my paintings.
All of my creativity came to a halt with the sudden and unfortunate death of my son in 2005. The grief and devastation took me to a dark place for 10 years, but I soon emerged with a need to move forward. As I believe God has a plan for all of us, He had a plan for me, so I picked up a paint brush. I was now on a journey I knew very little about, yet one that would heal my torn soul.
My weeks, days and hours are now spent in a wonderful place of creativity. My art has saved me, and it is enjoyed by many from coast to coast. I have been blessed, yet still in disbelief. I sit at a canvas asking for direction from a source I cannot see: my loving son. Feel free to critique my work; just know it did not come from any place except my heart. There is a piece of that heart in every painting.
